Volunteering at Vine Maple Place helps solve homelessness in our community one moment at a time. We have a variety of opportunities available. Whether you are looking for a single opportunity, a once a month or on call commitment, or consistent weekly involvement, we'd love to meet with you to find your place with us. Current Needs:
General Employment & Education Client Coaching - Available 4-10 hours a month to meet with clients one on one regarding resumes, applications, general education tutoring or computer skills. Daytime or evening availability.

Employment Program Administrative Assistants - Put your data entry (excel) filing, general admin, organization, and document preparation skills to work to help our families! Needed 2-4 hours each week, day and time is flexible, preferably a Monday or Friday.

Financial Literacy Coaching: Bring your skills in managing personal funds, your knowledge of financial concepts, and your heart for working with diverse groups of people to us! You will be trained and then present and train clients how to build a budget, and then how to work with budgets over time. Expect some group and some one on one contact. Needed 2 hours each week, Thursday evenings 6-8pm. Minimum 12 week commitment required.

Children's Tutors  - Monday afternoons 4-5:30  Grades K-12 Join other tutors on site at Vine Maple Place to work side by side a student to help with their homework and to encourage them as they build basic skills for success in school!

Babysitting  -  Join one of our weekly child care teams! Provide love and attention to our kids while their parent is attending classes and workshops. First Aid certification required, Safe Sitter class or equivalent required for those 14-16.

• Thursday 6-8pm Financial Literacy Babysitting

General Opportunities
Family Services:

• We are looking for people who love to cook meals! Join the Hospitality team and provide a welcome meal for a family on the day they move in. For more information on the schedule please contact us.
• Welcome a family home with a Household Welcome basket for a family. This is a great opportunity for a group to put together. When our families move in, we provide the basics for the home: cleaning, laundry and general household goods. Contact us for the list and coordinate with a group today!
• Play and read with the kids onsite at Vine Maple Place while babysitting during financial coaching, employment training and case management appointments.
• Come alongside a client to provide financial coaching, credit repair counseling, and job search training and development. This is a consistent commitment of about 8 hours per month, some day and some evening opportunities.
• Provide workshop training and Life Skills Development. Do you have an important life skill to introduce to our clients. Work with our families on skills development in health and nutrition and other areas. 

• Join our development team and help us plan and execute social and fundraising events.
• Put your technical and graphic design skills to work join our Social Media group.
• Volunteer in the office and work on special projects, answer phones, or do basic data entry.
• Provide professional services such as counseling, medical, dental and legal.
