Although Marcia started as a part-time employee, her role and responsibilities quickly grew into full-time in order to serve the growing number of families at Vine Maple Place.  One of Marcia's passions is working with the parents to help their children, who she feels are, "very interesting, often entertaining, and sometimes challenging."  She also enjoys art, crafts, and gardening which she has used to make the Family Services Office a warm and inviting space for the resident families.

 

Marcia grew up in Seattle, but it was in California where she attended Simpson College that she met her husband, Phil.  They were married in 1968 and now live in Auburn.  They have four children and seven grandchildren.  Marica and Phil were founding members of Cedarcreek Covenant Church in Maple Valley where they continue to grow and serve.
